Grow tent or grow box

Buy a grow box over a grow tent

There are many advantages to buying a hydroponics and grow box over a grow tent. For those of you that are not familiar with what the differences are between a grow tent and a grow box this article will hopefully explain it in detail. By the time you’re done reading this article you will be an expert on the topic of grow boxes and grow tents and know all of the differences between the two unique growing enclosures.

Grow tens are inexpensive and easy to manufacture. A grow tent can be sold for much more than what it has actually cost to produce. For this reason a lot of manufacturers have been jumping on the bandwagon lately for creating and manufacturing hydroponics grow tents. A hydroponics grow tent is essentially a plastic material that is stretched around a set of polls; much like how you would set up a camping tent. Often a grow tent will be white on the inside to reflector light and black on the outside to absorb light. A grow tent will often have a large zipper at the door so you can access your plants easily inside the hydroponic enclosure. When you purchase a grow tent you are getting just that, a shell and nothing else – none of the essential equipment is actually included with these tents. These cheaply made and manufactured products are fairly easy to put together and require very little effort on their own. But they do rely heavily on you purchasing separate hardware in addition to the grow tent in order for you to have a fully functional garden.

A grow tent is a shell and that’s it. You are required now to buy all the lighting as well as the hydroponic systems, and carbon scrubbers, the fans, as well as the timers, and all the various equipment that you will need to purchase separately to make your grow tent work. With a grow tent you will be responsible for installing or creating the hydroponics system. You will be responsible for ventilation and odor reduction. You must do all the wiring correctly and also set up on the timers according to your light schedules. You will need to keep temperatures down. You will need to be an expert to know how to assemble all this equipment and make it work together correctly. A grow tent is just not a good option for the novice grower. A grow tent is much more of an advanced growing system and fails in many levels to that of the hydroponics grow box.

A hydroponics grow box on the other hand arrives to your house completely assembled and ready to use the moment you get it. A grow tent will arrive in a UPS box and require assembly but the hydroponics grow box arrives on a pallet completely assembled and ready to use, complete with all the various equipment already installed for you. The beautiful thing about a grow box is that everything is included and ready to use without any guess work or difficult assembly. The fans that ventilation and carbon scrubber is all ready to use so you know your grow box will breather and circulate air well.

In a hydroponics grow box you know there will be no odor because the carbon scrubber has already been installed and you know your hydroponic system will function correctly based on the timers that were included by the hydroponics grow box manufacturer. With the hydroponics grow boxes you simply have the system ready to use and easy for the novice or intermediate or advanced grower alike. Just plug in the grow box and you’re ready to grow plants successfully using hydroponics. Plus you get unlimited technical support with a grow box and if you check out the video on the hydroponics website linked to here you’ll see that there is close to 100 videos on hydroponics grow box machines that you can take a look at that display and show these units in very close detail. So know what you’re getting into when you choose between hydroponics grow box versus a hydroponics grow tent. There is no doubt that the grow box is the way to go for all, but the most advanced and experienced hydroponic gardeners.

Keep it simple. If you are a beginner or intermediate grower then go with a hydroponics grow box. If you are an advanced grower that does not mind some do-it-yourself assembly then you can take the time to put together a grow tent. However if you want a system that’s completely set up and ready to grow the day you get it with no assembly required, then you definitely want a grow box over a grow tent any day of the week.
